In October 2024, the Norwegian Directorate of Health published a preliminary version of the DRG system (Innsatsstyrt finansiering, ISF) for 2025. Two new DRGs concerning men’s health and dental areas will be introduced.

On October 14, 2024, the Institute for the Hospital Remuneration System (InEK) published the DRG catalog (Fallpauschalen-Katalog) with the list of DRGs and additional reimbursement categories (ZEs) for 2025. Three new DRGs were introduced in the endoscopy and ophthalmology fields.

On October 01, 2024, the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) published the second release of the 2025 DRG package (RZ25b). Three new procedure codes, four new supplementary payments (OZPs), 18 new diagnosis codes, and two new DRGs will be implemented across gastroenterology, surgery, diagnostic imaging, molecular diagnostics, and other areas.

In October 2024, the updated version of the intra-DRG list was published in France. Three new devices were registered in the cardiovascular and neurovascular fields. Furthermore, one device was removed from the list, and the registration conditions for several devices were changed.

On August 6, 2024, the Danish Health Data Authority opened the application period for changes in the 2026 DRG logic, including the creation of new DRG codes and changes in the grouping logic for existing DRGs. The deadline for the submission of the applications is November 8, 2024.

On April 18, 2024, the Ministry of Labor, Health, and Solidarity published the Order in the Official Journal of the French Republic, setting DRG tariffs and tariffs for other packages and supplements for 2024. New tariffs are applicable from March 1, 2024.

On April 8, 2024, the updated version of the intra-DRG list of April 6, 2024, was published. One new device was registered, and other changes concerned modifying the registration conditions and renewing registration or extending the registration.

New Greek DRG system (Gr-DRG), which has been developed in collaboration with German Institute for the Hospital Remuneration System (InEK), will be implemented in all Greek hospitals since March 01, 2024.

On January 15, 2024, the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) released an updated DRG system for 2024. No significant changes were made aand no new APR-DRGs were added; thus. The reimbursement tariffs were increased by about 5%.

On January 3, 2024, the entity managing the DRG system in Switzerland, SwissDRG, announced that they will be accepting applications for changes in the DRG system from June 3, 2024, until July 15, 2024. The results of the DRG applications made in 2024 will be reflected in the 2026 version of SwissDRG.

In December 2023, NHS England launched a consultation regarding proposed changes in the 2023/25 NHS Payment Scheme for the 2024/25 financial year. The key changes concerned the High Cost Device List, top-up payments for specialized services, and payment for radiotherapy. The deadline for submitting comments is January 26, 2024.

No new DRGs will be added. One new Special Service Group (STG) for light treatment and five new Service Progress Groups (TFGs) concerning maternity care pathways and rehabilitation will be introduced.
