On July 25, 2023, the final version of the DRG manual for 2023 was published. Introduced changes relate to the MDC14, coding of gender in patients under three months of age, and performance of acts inconsistent with the declared sex in transsexual patients.

On July 31, 2023, the Danish Health Data Authority opened the application period for changes in the 2025 DRG logic, including the creation of new DRG codes and changes in the grouping logic for existing DRGs. The deadline for the submission of the applications is November 10, 2023.

On July 3, 2023, the document "Changes and innovations in the 2024 LKF model" (Änderungen und Neuerungen in den LKF-Modellen 2024) was published. The document summarizes the most significant changes and innovations in the LKF model for inpatient and outpatient care. The newly added procedure codes mainly concern endoscopic procedures, orthopedics, peripheral vascular, and pulmonary and airways fields.

On June 5, 2023, the application window for submitting applications for changes in the Swiss nomenclature of surgical procedures (CHOP), as well as for the SwissDRG system, was open. The deadline for submission of CHOP applications is September 17, while the deadline for SwissDRG submissions is July 17.

On April 20, 2023, the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) published the first release of the DRG package for 2024 (RZ24a). Twenty-three new procedure codes, nine new supplementary payments, and thirteen new DRGs will be implemented across gynecology, pulmonary, extracorporeal treatments, and other technology groups.

On March 31, 2023, the Agency for Technical Hospital Information published the 2023 DRG tariffs and tariffs for other packages and supplements.

In the middle of March 2023, the updated version of the intra-DRG list was published. Changes include the introduction of several devices for thrombo-aspiration into the list and the deletion of a few devices from the list.

In late March 2023, NHS England released the 2023/25 NHS Payment Scheme (NHSPS) to come into force on April 1, 2023. NHSPS has been set for two years, replacing the National Tariff Payment System (published annually). The NHSPS specifies payment conditions for NHS-funded secondary care.

In late March 2023, NHS England released an annual update of HRG4+ Local Payment Grouper for 2023/24, to come into effect on April 1, 2023. No new HRGs were added. The HRG design has been updated to accommodate the latest version of procedure coding classification (OPCS-4.10).

On March 22, 2022, the entity managing the DRG system in Switzerland, SwissDRG, announced that they will be accepting applications for changes in the DRG system from June 5, 2023, until July 17, 2023. The results of the DRG applications made in 2023 will be reflected in the 2025 version of SwissDRG.

On February 7, 2023, the entity working on the new out-patient flat-rates, Solutions Tarifaires Suisses AG, announced the beginning of the consultation process for the work on version 0.3 of the new out-patient flat-rate reimbursement system. The comments can only be submitted by the tariff partners that established this body (associations of health insurers curafutura and santésuisse, as well as the association of hospitals H+, an association of physicians FMH, and medical tariff commission MTK/CTM). The consultations can be submitted until March 31, 2023.

On January 09, 2023, the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) published 2023 tariffs for the “low variability care” (APR-DRG) system. APR-DRG logic for 2023 is not published as of January 27, so no information about its changes or new DRGs is available.
