In August 2025, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published three new Late Stage Assessments on transcatheter heart valves for TAVI, bed frames in acute medical or surgical hospital wards, and compression products for venous leg ulcers.

In August 2025, the Dutch Organization for Health Research and Development (ZonMw) awarded seventeen projects under the subsidy round “Preparatory implementation activities Round 1” of the Appropriate Care Framework program. Awarded projects include e-health, men’s health, in-vitro diagnostic, and other fields.

In August 2025, the updated version of the intra-DRG list was published in France. One new device was registered in the neurovascular field (BOBBY balloon guide catheter). Another change concerned the renewal of the registration for one device.

In August 2025, Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI/RIZIV) updated the List of implants and invasive medical devices. A new sub-chapter for bone conduction hearing systems with nine material codes was introduced. One new material code was added for bipolar radiofrequency endometrial ablation. Two new Nominative lists for brand-specific bone conduction hearing systems were also published. Changes will come into force on September 1, 2025.

Between early March 2025 and late August 2025, three more health apps were introduced in the Directory of digital health applications (DiGAs) at the Federal Office for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and thus became reimbursable. These apps can be prescribed by physicians and psychotherapists and will be reimbursed by health insurers. In total, 58 health apps are currently available in the DiGA Directory, and fourteen health apps were delisted from the Directory.
