Publication Digest: Research Method, Conduct, and Reporting Considerations for Improving the Quality of Non-Hypothesis-Evaluating Treatment Effectiveness Analyses Using Real-World Data: An ISPOR Special Interest Group Report

MTRC shares the most relevant and impactful publications in the field of market access and HEOR for medical technologies in Europe through its Publications Digest. 

In a recent publication, Barrette et al. examined how existing real-world evidence (RWE) guidance for hypothesis-evaluating treatment effectiveness (HETE) studies applies to non-HETE analyses. The ISPOR Special Interest Group reviewed 13 key guidance documents and mapped them to categories of non-HETE studies, including RWE inputs for health economic modeling and simulation. The authors concluded that while most guidelines were originally designed for HETE studies, they remain valuable resources to improve the design, conduct, and reporting of the broader range of non-HETE analyses.
