Health Economic Publication Digest: Mapping the Landscape of Open Source Health Economic Models: A Systematic Database Review and Analysis: An ISPOR Special Interest Group Report

MTRC shares the most relevant and impactful publications in the field of market access and HEOR for medical technologies in Europe through its Health Economic Publications Digest.

In a recent publication, Henderson et al. analyzed the landscape of open-source health economic models through a systematic review of 11 databases and repositories. The authors identified 182 unique models spanning various medical fields, with a strong focus on infectious diseases, oncology, and neurology. The models were largely government- or academia-sponsored. Markov models were the most frequent model type (49%). The authors stressed that clearer licensing and more consistent reporting are needed to fully realize the potential of open-source models in health economics.
