Dutch Healthcare Authority published the second release of the 2023 DRG package

On September 22, 2022, the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) published the second release of the DRG package for 2023 (RZ23b). Nineteen new procedure codes, eight new supplementary payments, and seven new DRGs will be implemented. These changes concern remote monitoring, molecular diagnostics, surgical procedures, gynecology and dermatology technology groups.

2023 DRG (LKF) model published in Austria

On September 22, 2022, the Austrian version of the DRG system (LKF) 2023 model with the relevant supplementary documents was published in Austria. The document "Changes and innovations in the 2023 LKF model" summarizes the most significant changes and innovations in the LKF model for inpatient and outpatient care. The newly added procedure codes mainly concern cardiovascular, extracorporeal treatments, and peripheral vascular fields.

CZ-DRG system updated in the Czech Republic

Earlier this year, the CZ-DRG v5 was released in the Czech Republic by the Central Institute of Health Information and Statistics (ÚZIS). Currently, further changes are being implemented, and the CZ-DRG v5, revision 1, will be ready for implementation on January 1, 2023.

DRG tariff system updated in Denmark

In late August 2022, the updated version of the DRG tariff system guide (Takstsystem) was released by the Danish Health Data Agency (Sundhedsdatastyrelsen). No new DRGs were introduced in the updated version of the DRG tariff system guide. However, two new groups were added to the List of special services, for which supplementary payment may be charged.
