Uplift of tariff prices for 2022/23 National Tariff Payment System in England
In late May 2022, NHS England and NHS Improvement recalculated tariff prices to reflect higher inflation levels. They published an updated version of the 2022/23 national tariff workbook (Annex A) and the non-mandatory prices workbook. The increased prices should be used wherever tariff prices apply.
The cost uplift factor that should be used for the 2022/23 tariff has increased to 3.5%, from the 2.8% in the initially published tariff. The increased cost uplift figure should be used for local pricing arrangements (including aligned payment and incentive agreements).
