On January 16, 2024, the Dutch Healthcare Institute (ZIN) published an updated version of the “Guideline for conducting health economic evaluations”. The objective of this guideline is to set a clear framework for economic evaluations intended for decision-making about the introduction or reimbursement of new healthcare interventions or decision-making about termination of reimbursement for existing healthcare interventions.
The guideline includes the following three modules:

- QALY and quality-of-life measurements module, which is aimed at measuring health-related quality of life and the various instruments that can be used for this;
- Value of Information analysis module, which focuses on uncertainty, probabilistic analysis, and Value of Information analysis.
The previous version of the Guideline was published in 2016.
