Two procedures can use analogous coding since July 2019 in Switzerland

Analog codes should be applied in a uniform and binding manner until differentiated codes are established following the regular application procedure. The analog codes are valid as of publication date and are relevant for possible coding revisions.

Since July 26, 2019, selective intravascular radiotherapy (SIRT) by embolization with microspheres labeled with holmium-166 is coded with CHOP code 92.28.25 "Selective intravascular radiotherapy (SIRT) by embolization with yttrium-90 labeled microspheres" and CHOP code 92.28.00 "Injection, instillation or oral administration of radioisotope, not specified."

Since July 31, 2019, the creation of intracardiac septal defect with implantation of an interauricular implant is coded with the codes CHOP 35.42.20 "Creation of intracardiac septal communication, closed technique" and 35.98.00 "Other operations of the septa of the heart, not specified."
