Pre-launch adjustments were requested to the new outpatient tariff system in Switzerland

On July 15, 2025, the Organization for Outpatient Physician Tariffs (OAAT AG), involving all outpatient tariff partners, submitted the adjustments to the comprehensive outpatient system to the Federal Council.

The comprehensive outpatient tariff system, including the TARDOC catalog of individual service tariffs and outpatient flat rates, was approved by the Federal Council on April 30, 2025, and is expected to come into effect on January 1, 2026.

While the planned revision is already underway and will be submitted in the first months of 2026 for implementation in 2027, at the meeting of the OAAT Board on June 13, 2025, the tariff partners identified necessary adjustments, which cannot be delayed, in the following areas:

  • Hospital emergency and non-physician services (TARDOC);
  • Combination therapy in cancer treatment (Outpatient flat rates);
  • Wound care and pathology services (TARDOC and outpatient flat rates);
  • Correction of identified errors in both tariff structures.

The approval application with these amendments was prepared and submitted to the Federal Council. The revised versions of the TARDOC and outpatient flat rates will be released in the coming weeks.
