In late September 2021, the Danish Health Data Agency (Sundhedsstyrelsen) has published the update of the Health Care Classification System (Sundheds-væsenets Klassifikations System, SKS). The most significant changes include: 31 new diagnosis codes and 14 procedure codes were added. The newly added procedure codes concern mainly pulmonary and airways area and neuromodulation procedures.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is currently developing health technology assessments concerning eHealth technologies in its Medical Technologies Guidance, Diagnostic Guidance, and Medtech Innovation Briefing programs. As of late April 2021, there are thirteen ongoing assessments.

The Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) investigated the extent to which evidence is available for the benefit and harm of non-invasive computed tomography angiography (CTA) and stress diagnostics using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in people with suspected coronary heart disease (CAD) using evidence mapping.

New codes for Prostatic Urethral Lift system, CT and MRI examination of the neck, fecal microbiota transplant, testicular sperm extraction, implantable rechargeable and a non-rechargeable pulse generator for deep brain stimulation, as well as PET-CT myocardial perfusion with volume, ejection fraction and flow measurements and molecular diagnostics, were implemented in 2020.

On 7th of November, 2018, the Italian Ministry of Health announced that the technical standards for magnetic resonance and its use are updated.

The Basque Office for Health Technology Assessment (OSTEBA) published results of assessments of different techniques for biopsy of prostate. In accordance to this report, biopsy with image fusion (MRI and ultrasound) can be considered as a first diagnostic option for prostate biopsy.
