In a recent publication, Seddik et al. systematically reviewed the approaches used to measure the societal impact of healthcare interventions to clarify concepts and establish a comprehensive analytical framework. The review encompassed 159 studies worldwide, revealing 42 distinct concepts of societal value assessed at multiple levels, including patients, caregivers, and healthcare organizations. The authors conclude that standardizing methodologies and developing clear definitions for societal value are critical steps for advancing future research and decision-making.
