2021 application period for changes in the DRG system announced by SwissDRG

Swiss DRG model covers 100% of hospital admissions within the statutory health insurance. It is based on the German G-DRG system but adjusted to Swiss settings. The entity that maintains the DRG system in Switzerland, SwissDRG, annually updates the DRG system.

SwissDRG has announced the 2021 application period for changes in the DRG system.  The online application form is expected to be activated on April 26, 2021. The applications can then be submitted from May 31, 2021, to July 11, 2021. The applications made in 2021 will be reflected in the 2023 version of the SwissDRG.
