Reimbursement application

In early February 2026, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) opened the call for applications for the evaluation of medical procedures and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests to be included in its 2027 working program. The deadline for submission is May 4, 2026.

From February 1 to April 30, 2026, the OAAT AG (the entity managing the new Swiss outpatient reimbursement system) is accepting applications for the modifications of the TARDOC and Outpatient flat rates. Submitted proposals will be reviewed within the annual tariff development process, validated by the OAAT Board of Directors, and subsequently submitted to the Federal Council for final approval and publication.

In late November – early December 2025, the application period for 2027 OPS (procedure codes) and DRG changes was opened by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Institute for Hospital Remuneration Systems (INeK), respectively.

In February 2025, the Danish Health Data Authority opened the application period for changes to the 2027 DRG logic, including the creation of new DRG codes and modifications to the grouping logic for existing DRGs. The application deadline is October 31, 2025.

On August 6, 2024, the Danish Health Data Authority opened the application period for changes in the 2026 DRG logic, including the creation of new DRG codes and changes in the grouping logic for existing DRGs. The deadline for the submission of the applications is November 8, 2024.

On May 17, 2024, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) announced the start of the application period for evaluating procedures and IVD tests to be included in the 2025 HAS working program.

In October 2023, the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) introduced an updated application procedure for the List of implants and invasive medical devices, including a new application form. The new form is organized according to the PICO (Population-Intervention-Comparator-Outcome) principle.

In September 2023, NHS England defined the roadmap and key dates for the next version of the OPCS-4 nomenclature of procedures, which is updated every three years. The applications for changes can be submitted no later than December 1, 2024, to be implemented in the OPCS-4.11 version from April 2026.

The National Genomic Test Directory lists genomic tests commissioned by NHS England via Genomic Laboratory Hubs. It is updated annually. The applications submitted before April 1, 2024, to add new tests or change existing ones will be considered for implementation on April 1, 2025.

In late June 2023, the Belgian Health Care Knowledge Center (KCE) published a report on relevance of transversal budget impact analysis. This type of analysis should be submitted as part of the application to the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) to obtain reimbursement for implants and invasive medical devices.

On July 31, 2023, the Danish Health Data Authority opened the application period for changes in the 2025 DRG logic, including the creation of new DRG codes and changes in the grouping logic for existing DRGs. The deadline for the submission of the applications is November 10, 2023.
