The application window for changes to the Swiss outpatient reimbursement system is open

On January 30, 2026, the OAAT AG announced the application window for proposals to further develop the Swiss outpatient tariff system. The new system, comprising the TARDOC catalog of individual service tariffs and Outpatient flat rates, replaced the fee-for-service outpatient tariff catalog TARMED in January 2026. Both structures are subject to regular updates through an annual tariff development application process (Antragsverfahren zur Tarifentwicklung).

The 2026 application window for tariff development is open from February 1 to April 30, 2026. Proposals may concern the creation of new tariff positions, the modification or deletion of existing ones, and adjustments to grouping logic.

Submissions are restricted to OAAT shareholders (the Swiss Medical Association FMH, the Swiss Hospitals Association H+, prio.swiss, the Conference of Cantonal Health Directors GDK, and the Medical Tariff Commission MTK). Individual applicants, such as specialist medical societies or institutions, can submit their requests to these partner organizations for review and, if necessary, bundling, before an official submission.

Applications are submitted via the Applix platform, reviewed by OAAT AG, and then processed during the annual tariff revision. The OAAT Board of Directors decides on the revised tariff structures, which are then submitted to the Federal Council for final approval and publication.
