Health Economic Publication Digest: Stakeholder Views on the Use and Challenges of Using Early Economic Evaluations in Health Innovation Development in The Netherlands

MTRC shares the most relevant and impactful publications in the field of market access and HEOR for medical technologies in Europe through its Health Economic Publications Digest.

In a recent publication, van Lieshout et al. examined how different stakeholders view the role of early health economic analyses (EHEA) in developing health innovations in the Netherlands. Based on semi-structured interviews with 17 stakeholders, the study revealed a broad sense of EHEA's usefulness, particularly for independent valuation and identifying evidence gaps. Participants recommended enhancing EHEA by integrating reimbursement and implementation pathways and presenting results in more accessible formats.
