Updates of the Belgian List of reimbursable devices in June 2025

In June 2025, the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI/RIZIV) updated the List of implants and invasive medical devices. Four new material codes concerning heart valve replacement were added, along with reimbursement fees and related conditions.

  • The example of newly added code is 185776-185780 “Percutaneously implantable valve stent in the aortic position, including the placement system, for patients with an EuroSCORE II ≤8% and ≥4%”.

Furthermore, Nominative lists were updated in June 2025. These lists specify certain brands in connection with material codes on the List of implants and invasive medical devices, when brand-specific registration is required.

  • A total of 12 Nominative lists were updated with multiple new devices added in relation to neuromodulation (deep brain stimulation systems), neurovascular (embolization devices), orthopaedic (including devices for knee and hip replacement), and cardiovascular (transcatheter aortic valve implantation devices, bioprosthetic mitral valves) procedures.
