New CCAM codes introduced in France

In mid-December 2025, a new version of the Common Classification of Medical Procedures (CCAM v.81), effective January 1, 2026, was published. Multiple changes were implemented, including the introduction of four new procedure codes, the provisional registration of four codes, the deletion of a few codes, the modification of tariffs for numerous activities/phases, and the amendment of existing services.

Newly introduced procedure codes concern neurosurgical, dental, and gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures. Examples include a new code concerning MR-guided focused ultrasound ablation of brain tissue:

  • AANB256 “Unilateral destruction of one or more intracerebral targets by stereotaxic focused ultrasound with magnetic resonance imaging monitoring (MRgFUS thalamotomy)” with a CCAM fee of €957.01.

Four new procedure codes in cardiovascular and interventional radiology fields were provisionally registered for three years. Examples are provided below:

  • DENC001 "Epicardial destruction of multiple atrial arrhythmogenic foci using radiofrequency current, by thoracoscopy" with CCAM fee of €985.09;
  • AJNF032 "Bilateral renal denervation by ultrasound, via a transcutaneous vascular approach" with CCAM fee of €722.40.
