Healthcare Implementation Communique (SUT) updated in Turkey in May 2024

On May 4, 2024, the Reimbursement Commission of the Social Security Institution (SSI) released an updated version of the Healthcare Implementation Communique (SUT). Regarding the MedTech field, three new codes were introduced to relevant Annexes of the SUT.

Examples of the newly introduced codes are listed below:

  • 530000 “Critical patient bed and follow-up in the emergency department” with the reimbursement tariff of 124 TRY;
  • 530001 “FAST Ultrasonography (in multiple trauma patients)” with the reimbursement tariff of 64 TRY;
  • 530002 “Transcutaneous pacing service” with the reimbursement tariff of 83 TRY.
