Development of recommendations concerning companion diagnostic tests initiated in Finland
The Council for Choices in Health Care in Finland (PALKO) is a permanent body appointed by the Government that works in conjunction with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. The task of the Council is to issue recommendations on services that should be included in the range of public health services. The service choices are relevant to both public healthcare, as well as for private health services eligible for reimbursement by Kela (Social Insurance Institution of Finland).
In mid-December 2021, PALKO has initiated the development of recommendations concerning companion diagnostic tests. The respective preparations were completed in November 2021. No further information is available.
