Extra budget for the purchase of laboratory equipment in Russia
The Government of the Russian Federation approved the Order of November 7, 2020, N 2892-r on budget allocations of over 800 million rubles for the provision of subsidies to subordinate institutions of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) for the procurement of laboratory equipment in order to develop a sustainable system for the prevention, detection, and response to threats to the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population.
In early November, the Government of the Russian Federation also allocated more than 1 billion rubles from the Reserve Fund to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation to provide inter-budgetary transfers to the regions for equipping and re-equipping medical laboratories that carry out etiological diagnostics of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 by means of nucleic acid amplification. The funds were directed to all regions except Moscow.
