Six new procedure and three diagnostics codes added to private reimbursement schedule in England
The Clinical Coding and Schedule Development (CCSD) group develop and maintains procedural and diagnostics nomenclature for private payers in England. New procedure codes concern hip replacement, endoscopic ablation, multiple arthroscopic operations on the ankle, collagen paste for closing an anal fistula and diagnostic codes for tests for next generations sequencing molecular intelligence, and others. The codes are introduced with a recommended adoption date being the 1st of November 2019. The documents also contain a list of textual changes in codes, inactivated codes, and an updated list of unacceptable combinations of codes.
The CCSD Group has approved the following procedure codes for publication to the CCSD Schedule in June 2019 with a recommended adoption date being the 1st of November 2019:
- Customized unilateral hip replacement (W3751)
- Endoscopic ablation for a pilonidal sinus (H6050)
- Endoscopic ablation for an anal fistula +/- flap (H5561)
- Collagen paste for closing an anal fistula (H5562)
- Multiple arthroscopic operations on the ankle (including soft tissue, bony and/or joint surface procedures with ligament reconstruction) (W8645)
- Multiple arthroscopic operations on the ankle (including soft tissue, bony and/or joint surface procedures without ligament reconstruction) (W8646)

The CCSD Group has approved the following diagnostic codes for publication to the CCSD Schedule in June 2019 with a recommended adoption date being the 1st of November 2019:
- Next generations sequencing (NGS) molecular Intelligence - Caris (7601G)
- FoundationOne CDx (7010G)
- Oncofocus precision oncology test (7011G)
