New procedure codes concern planning, insertion, and removal of high/low dose rate radioactive treatment (brachytherapy) into a prostate tumor, open/laparoscopic repair of Spigelian hernia, and others. The codes are introduced with a recommended adoption date being the 1st of August 2020. The document also contains a list of textual changes in codes and unacceptable combinations. OPCS-4 is a statistical classification for clinical coding of hospital interventions and procedures undertaken by the NHS. On 4 November 2019, OPCS 4.9 Classification of Interventions and Procedures was released. The implementation date is 1 April 2020. Read more

In late 2019, the Nomenclature was updated. The update brought changes regarding the creation of new codes, deletion of codes, modification of existing codes, and the addition of new reimbursement conditions in the fields of dentistry, ophthalmology (including new codes for optical coherence tomography) and others.
