Update of the DRG system for the year 2020 in Russia
The Russian DRG system was updated for the year 2020. The main changes concern increase in the number of DRG groups, revision of the content of DRG for cases of radiation therapy, increase in the coefficients of the relative cost-intensiveness of DRG for cases of surgical treatment on the "Oncology" profile and revision of the coefficients of the relative cost-intensiveness of DRG according to the "Oncology" profile.
The main differences between the new model (2020) of clinical and statistical groups (DRG) from the 2019 model of DRG are:
- İncrease in the number of DRG in hospital settings from 359 to 364 groups, in day-case settings - from 150 to 153 groups, including due to:
- Expanding the number of DRG for cases of drug therapy in adult patients with malignant neoplasms (except for lymphoid and hematopoietic tissues) in hospital and day-case settings from 10 to 13 groups
- Expanding the number of DRG for cases of treatment of epilepsy in hospital settings
- Separation of DRG in a day case settings for cases of hospitalization for diagnostic purposes with a biopsy and subsequent molecular genetic and/or immunohistochemical diagnostics
- Revision of the content of DRG for cases of radiation therapy
- İncrease in the coefficients of the relative cost-intensiveness of DRG for cases of surgical treatment on the "Oncology" profile, taking into account the anesthetic benefit
- Revision of the coefficients of the relative cost-intensiveness of DRG according to the "Oncology" profile, taking into account the average standards for the volume of medical care and financial costs per unit of medical care established by the State Guarantee Program for the free provision of medical care to citizens
