Three more health apps have obtained reimbursement in Germany since February 2024
In Germany, digital health applications (DiGAs) that can be prescribed by physicians and psychotherapists and reimbursed by statutory health insurers are listed in the Directory of Digital Health Applications maintained by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). As of August 26, 2025, a total of 58 apps are available in the Directory and thus eligible for reimbursement.
Between early March and late August 2025, three new health apps were added to the Directory, all designed to support the management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Some examples are provided below.
The “ORIKO ADHS-Therapie” health app, introduced in the Directory on July 9, 2025, is intended for adults with ADHD. Its goal is to improve the quality of life, alleviate symptoms, and help patients cope with ADHD-related challenges in daily life. It also promotes health literacy and may help reduce comorbidities such as anxiety and depression. The program provides evidence-based psychological and psychotherapeutic methods, including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (MBCT), psychoeducation (PE), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and social skills training (SST). Available in German, it is priced at €479.70.
On August 6, 2025, the “attexis - die digitale Therapie bei ADHS im Erwachsenenalter” health app was introduced in the Directory. This app was developed by GAIA AG, Germany. It is designed for adults aged 18 years and older with ADHD, focusing primarily on delivering CBT methods and techniques. It is available in German at a tariff of €599.40.
