Rapid HTAs of two medical devices released in Tuscany
The HTA body of the Tuscany Regional Healthcare issues three types of documents: full HTA reports, rapid HTA reports, and motivational forms. With regional decree 8803 of April 26, 2023, Tuscany Regional Healthcare has published assessments of two medical devices in the cardiovascular area.
The following technologies have been assessed:
- Atrial septal defects occluder Gore Cardioform ASD Occluder by W. L. Gore & Associates for percutaneous, transcatheter closure of ostium secundum atrial septal defects in pediatric cardiology;
- Coated antibacterial suture Vicryl Plus by Johnson & Johnson for adult and pediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery.
