New procedure codes to be introduced in CCAM Nomenclature published in France
On March 2, 2023, the decision of the National Union of Health Insurance Funds relating to the update of the CCAM Nomenclature of procedure codes was published in the Official Journal of the French Republic. Changes include registration of new procedure codes, modification and removal of some existing codes. Newly introduced codes concern cardiovascular procedures, interventional radiology, orthopedics, peripheral vascular procedures, and others.
The examples of newly introduced codes are listed below:
- DDNF775 “Intraluminal lithotripsy of the coronary artery with coronary arteriography, with stenting, by transcutaneous arterial route” with the CCAM fee of €983.93;
- EDSF618 “Hyperselective embolization of the prostatic arteries, by transcutaneous arterial route” with the CCAM fee of €543.74;
- LDKA426 “Replacement of a cervical intervertebral disc by total prosthesis, by cervicotomy” with the CCAM fee of €638.10.
The decision takes effect on April 1, 2023, and the newly introduced codes are present in v72 of the CCAM Nomenclature.
