MTRC developed the first issue of HTA Alerts

The first issue of HTA Alerts included 186 reports from European organizations only. This issue included reports, published or initiated from the 1st of August 2020, and ongoing reports.

The most common technological fields were cardiovascular, gastroenterology, in-vitro diagnostics, men's health, neuromodulation, and orthopedics.

New med tech-related decision support documents published in Austria

On July 15, 2024, the Austrian Institute for HTA (AIHTA) published three decision support documents that provide recommendations regarding the inclusion of new medical interventions in the catalog of individual medical services (MEL) for reimbursement, as well as two updates to previous decision support documents. The decisions relate to cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, interventional radiology, neuromodulation, and endocrine technology groups.

MTRC launched Knowledge Zone with brief overviews of the market access landscape and challenges for individual types of medical technologies in Europe

Market access is a rapidly changing field and the landscape varies for different types of medical technologies. To provide an additional, easy-to-access source of high-level information about key themes in the market access landscape and challenges for individual types of medical technologies, MTRC launched a dedicated Knowledge Zone on the website. Currently, the Knowledge Zone includes information about procedure coding, payment mechanisms, policy considerations, HTA, and future challenges for market access for 12 types of medical technologies. In the coming weeks, the Zone will expand 40 key technology groups
