The French National Authority for Health (HAS) released new recommendations about add-on reimbursement of medical devices and medical aids from the meetings of the National Commission for Evaluation of Medical Devices and Health Technologies (CNEDiMTS) in December 2022. Nine recommendations were published in relation to the registration, modification of registration conditions, and renewal of registration for devices in the List of reimbursable products and services (LPPR). Opinions concern the device used for neuromodulation, the device for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, orthopedic devices, as well as medical aids.

On December 1, 2022, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health published the changes that will occur to the Services Ordinance (KLV/OPre), which determines coverage of medical services in Switzerland. The updates will enter into force on January 1, 2023, and they relate to the list of explicitly evaluated services (Annex 1 of KLV/OPre), outpatient-before-hospital services (Annex 1a), List of Tools and Appliances(Annex 2), and List of Analyses (Annex 3).

On October 19, 2022, it was announced by the Ministry of Health that the 2023 General State Budget in the field of health would comprise €2,746.17 million, which is €199.32 million (7.83%) more than in 2022. The aim is to strengthen the National Health System (SNS) and achieve a more robust, more equitable, and more modern system capable of adapting to the population's health needs.

Four opinions were published, and they concern devices in three technology groups.

Except for this, CNEDiMTS published two positive and two negative opinions concerning transitional coverage of devices.

On June 27, 2022, the Innovation Committee at the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) published the determined funding priorities for healthcare research projects (seven topics) and clinical guidelines (four topics).

In mid-June, the Swiss Federal Office for Public Health announced the update of the Annexes of the Services Ordinance (KLV/OPre). Annexes 1, 2, and 3 were updated. The updates related to the endocrine, IVD, and interventional radiology technology groups.

On May 09, 2022, the updated List of Reimbursable Products and Services (LPPR) was published. It contains new devices included in the LPPR list in April 2022, as well as other modifications made during this period. New devices that were introduced in the LPPR list belong to the endocrine and gastrointestinal technology groups.
