New experiments under Article 51 of the Social Security Financing Act in France

The French Ministry of Solidarity and Health constantly announces the new experiments initiated under Article 51 of the Social Security Financing Act. These experiments are focused on various topics concerning medical technologies and the organization of care. At the end of July, three new experiments related to the system of care for people with disabilities, families with overweight children, and homeless drug users were announced.

MTRC released a 2021 update of its syndicated report on innovation funding schemes in Europe

A syndicated report (135 pages) reviews details of innovation funding and coverage with evidence development schemes in Europe, including Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. For each scheme, information about objective, inclusion criteria, applicant, stakeholders involved, clinical and economic evidence requirements, and statistics (including at least 2019-2020 data; but for most schemes – statistics for multiple years) is included.

Digital innovations selected to join NHS Innovation Accelerator award-winning program in 2021

On March 08, 2021, Academic Health Science Networks (ASHN) announced twelve innovators ("Fellows") and innovations selected to join NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) award-winning program in 2021. NIA is an NHS England and Improvement initiative delivered in partnership with England's 15 AHSNs, hosted at UCLPartners. All awarded technologies are related to eHealth, including digital platforms, mobile applications, artificial intelligence (AI), wearables for home-based diagnostic.
