Clinical Practice Guideline on the detection and management of Chronic Kidney disease published in Spain
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is increasingly recognized as being a public health problem of great importance because of its incidence and prevalence, but also because it has a strong relationship with other diseases, particularly with cardiovascular diseases. For this reason, the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality has issued Clinical Practice Guidelines for CKD, developed by the Institute of Health Sciences in Aragon Autonomous Community.
The guidelines include recommendations about screening for chronic kidney disease, hygienic-dietetic and lifestyles measures, pharmacological treatment, educational interventions and tools for making shared decisions and patient referral.
