Application period for new procedure codes and IVD tests open in France

On February 15, 2022, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) announced the start of the submission period for the applications for new procedure codes and IVD tests to be included in the 2023 HAS working program.

Applications should concern registration of new codes, removal of existing codes, or modification of conditions for the provision of services from the various nomenclatures (CCAM and NGAP Nomenclatures of procedures, NABM Nomenclature of IVD tests). The application dossiers can be submitted in the period February 15, 2022 - May 31, 2022. The new platform for dossier submission, EVact, is introduced. The standard form of the dossier to be submitted via the EVact platform is published on the HAS page.

The HAS also organizes strategic orientation meetings where a new service (procedure or diagnostic test) can be presented to find out about the requirements to access reimbursement as well as the possible modalities of support by HAS. These meetings, carried out by HAS departments, are optional, confidential, and non-binding.
