Tariffs for medical telemonitoring activities released in France
On May 23, 2023, the Ministry of Health and Prevention published an Order in the Official Journal of the French Republic setting the tariffs for the medical telemonitoring activities covered by social health insurance in the context of the new framework.
The tariff per patient for the digital solution providers depends on the organizational or clinical value (impact on quality of life, morbidity, or mortality) that can be expected from the medical telemonitoring activity. The tariffs per patient, monthly and not cumulative, are the following for the firs 4,999 patients:
- For an organizational benefit: €50 (including tax);
- For a clinical benefit relating to the quality of life: €73.33 (including tax);
- For a clinical benefit relating to morbidity: €82.50 (including tax);
- For a clinical benefit relating to mortality: €91.67 (including tax).
The tariffs per patient reduce the more patients are involved in the particular telemonitoring activity. The tariffs are reviewed every six months and are adjusted according to quantities of patients involved.
The operator's (healthcare professionals delivering the service) tariffs are also determined by this Order.
