DRG tariff system updated in Denmark

In late August 2022, the updated version of the DRG tariff system guide (Takstsystem) was released by the Danish Health Data Agency (Sundhedsdatastyrelsen).

No new DRGs were introduced in the updated version of the DRG tariff system guide. However, two new groups were added to the List of special services, for which supplementary payment may be charged. It was stated that the tariff would be calculated as an actual cost price for these special services:

  • SYD01 "Interpretation assistance";
  • SYD02 "Dispensed medicine to patients (with a maximum of one contact day), for more than 2,000 DKK per day".

The full details in Danish can be found here.
