In May 2021, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published five new Interventional Procedure Guidance (ex-situ machine perfusion for extracorporeal preservation of lungs for transplant, transvaginal laser therapy for stress urinary incontinence and for urogenital atrophy, electrohydraulic lithotripsy for difficult-to-treat bile duct stones, and permanent His-bundle pacemaker for heart failure), one new Medical Technologies Guidance (UroLift for benign prostatic hyperplasia), and two new Medtech Innovation Briefings (Axonics sacral neuromodulation system for faecal incontinence and KODEX-EPD for cardiac imaging during ablation of arrhythmias). Also, three clinical guidelines and two Medical Technologies Guidance were updated.

At the end of January 2020, the Decision Forum rejected Focal Impulse and Rotor Mapping ablation approach and workstation RhytmView for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and ex-situ perfusion platform for organ preservation after the brain death of the donor due to its insufficient efficacy evidence.

Mini-method assessment regarding the treatment of lymphedema with lymph node transplantation after breast cancer treatment was initiated by Oslo University Hospital in June 2019. The finalized mini-method evaluation will be published in the National Database for Mini-HTA.

On the 1st of October of 2018, the Russian Ministry of Health has released the Order № 665n about the extension of the list of transplantation objects with inclusion of hematopoietic stem cells.

In the second half of April, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published one diagnostic guidance on adjunctive colposcopy technologies for assessing suspected cervical abnormalities, four Interventional Procedure Guidance for robot-assisted kidney transplant, nerve transfer to partially restore upper limb function in tetraplegia, prostate artery embolisation for lower urinary tract symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia and microinvasive subconjunctival insertion of a trans-scleral gelatin stent for primary open-angle glaucoma, and two new MedTech Innovation Briefings for sleep mask for diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular oedema and disinfecting cap for needleless connectors.

In total, 10 organizations were added to the list of 42 organizations, which can perform translation of organs. In addition, list of organizations, which perform extraction of organs for transplantation, was also updated.
