Reimbursement summary for angioplasty of arteries of lower extremities

This post presents an extract from our reimbursement analysis for angioplasty of arteries lower extremities using plain and drug-coated balloons (DCBs) for peripheral artery disease in England, France and Germany. Plain balloon angioplasty is reimbursement via DRG solely and DCBs are reimbursement via combination of DRG and add-on reimbursement.

The Swedish Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency has updated the product group codes from the classification of consumables

In July of 2018, the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency (Tandvårds-Läkemedelförmånsverket, TLV) has updated the product group codes for consumables for better understanding of the range of the products. Swedish product group codes exist for the classification of consumables that are included in the pharmaceutical benefits.

The following adjustments were implemented:

  • Editorial changes to the codes' descriptions;
  • Seven new groups for stomach products, plates and bags of different types, which are especially intended for children have been included in the classification.
