In October 2024, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) in England released seven Med Tech-related assessments in its HTA Journal, which concerned the Genedrive kit, timing of stoma closure in neonates, interventions in perceptual disorders after stroke, revascularisation strategy for chronic limb ischemia, MRI software and cognitive fusion biopsies in prostate cancer, transperineal prostate biopsy devices, and ultraviolet therapy in severe eczema. HTA Journal publishes research reports on the effectiveness, costs, and broader impact of health technologies for those who use, manage, and provide care in the NHS and informs NICE guidance.

In July 2024, SBRI (Small Business Research Initiative) Healthcare launched new funding competitions in four priority areas: antimicrobial resistance, women’s health, urgent & emergency care, and stroke. All types of innovations are eligible, including but not limited to medical devices, in-vitro diagnostics, digital health, and AI solutions.

In April 2024, the Dutch Healthcare Institute (Zorginstituut Nederland, ZIN) announced two projects which received a subsidy under the "Subsidy scheme for promising care" in 2024 for research of targeted muscle reinnervation during leg amputation and thrombectomy by catheterization in adult patients with a high-risk pulmonary embolism.

On April 8, 2024, the updated version of the intra-DRG list of April 6, 2024, was published. One new device was registered, and other changes concerned modifying the registration conditions and renewing registration or extending the registration.

In January 2024, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published three new Interventional Procedure Guidance (intravascular lithotripsy in peripheral arterial disease, temperature control after cardiac arrest, and pharyngeal electrical stimulation for neurogenic dysphagia) and one new Diagnostics Guidance (AI-derived software to help clinical decision making in stroke). Furthermore, one Diagnostics Guidance and five clinical guidelines were updated.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, two new health technology assessments were initiated by the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System (AOTMiT). The assessments belong to the cardiovascular and neurovascular technology groups.

In the middle of March 2023, the updated version of the intra-DRG list was published. Changes include the introduction of several devices for thrombo-aspiration into the list and the deletion of a few devices from the list.

The HTA body of the Tuscany Regional Healthcare issues three types of documents: full HTA reports, rapid HTA reports, and motivational forms. With regional decree 3844 of March 02, 2023, Tuscany Regional Healthcare has published assessments of four medical devices in the cardiovascular and neurovascular treatment areas.

The French National Authority for Health released new recommendations about add-on reimbursement of medical devices and medical aids from the meetings of the National Commission for Evaluation of Medical Devices and Health Technologies in October 2022. Fourteen recommendations were published in relation to the registration, modification of registration conditions, and renewal of registration for devices in the List of reimbursable products and services. Opinions concern cardiovascular, neurovascular, orthopedic, and ENT devices, as well as medical aids.

Dutch Organization for Health Research and Development, ZonMw awarded eight projects under the "Healthcare Evaluation and Appropriate Use" program, including two projects for geriatric care, two projects for cancer, per one project for cardiovascular, neurovascular, and dermatology care.

In August 2021, 22 Russian clinical guidelines in the fields of ENT, cardiovascular, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics and others, were released. Furthermore, the order on the approval of the standard of medical care for adults with urolithiasis disease entered into force.

In July 2021, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published one new Interventional Procedure Guidance (inducing and maintaining normothermia using temperature modulation devices to improve outcomes after stroke or subarachnoid hemorrhage) and four new Medtech Innovation Briefings (HealthVCF for detecting vertebral compression fractures on CT scans, trublood-prostate for triaging and diagnosing people with prostate cancer symptoms, AI technologies for detecting diabetic retinopathy, and Acumen IQ sensor for predicting hypotension risk).
