Published health technology assessments in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Scotland

In Scotland, Healthcare Improvement Scotland develops HTAs and clinical guidelines to support decision making. In the fourth quarter of 2020, Healthcare Improvement Scotland published assessments of continuous glucose monitoring in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes, endobronchial valves for lung volume reduction in patients with severe emphysema, and others.

The following assessments related to medical procedures or technologies were published in the fourth quarter of 2020:

  • Pre-treatment DPYD genetic testing for patients who are prescribed chemotherapy involving fluoropyrimidines
  • Continuous glucose monitoring in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes
  • Endobronchial valves for lung volume reduction in patients with severe or very severe emphysema
