Ongoing HTAs by Skåne University Hospital in Sweden in December 2024
In December 2024, the Skåne University Hospital (HTA South) is working on health technology assessments in several areas, including men’s health and neurology. Some examples can be found below:
- Organized prostate cancer screening (health economic analysis);
- Alternative treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia, including green laser vaporization compared to TUR-P;
- Effect on the quality of life, pain relief, and complication risks of intrathecal pain treatment with implantable pump compared to external pump or conventional pain treatment of malignant pain in people with cancer in the palliative stage.
