New standards of medical care published in Russia in March 2021

In Russia, standards of medical care are approved on the basis of the clinical guidelines and include average frequencies of the provision of procedures, devices, and drugs. In March 2021, Orders on the approval of the several standards of medical care entered into force, including standards for the provision of medical care for adults with gastrointestinal stromal tumors, cancer of the rectum, esophagus, cardia, biliary system, tracheal cancer, etc. For the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, patients will be provided with primary health care, specialized care, and laboratory testing.

New standards of medical care include:

  • Standards of medical care for adults with cancer of the esophagus and cardia (link)
  • Standards of medical care for adults with rectal cancer (link)
  • Standards of medical care for adults with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (link)
  • Standards of medical care for adults with cancer of the biliary system (link)
  • Standards of medical care for adults with mesothelioma of the pleura, peritoneum, and other localizations (link)

  • Standards of medical care for adults with urethral cancer (link)
