Reimbursement summary for angioplasty of arteries of lower extremities

New procedure codes introduced in Turkey

On March 16, 2023, the Reimbursement Commission of the Social Security Institution (SSI) released an updated version of the Healthcare Implementation Communique (SUT). The main change relates to the increase in reimbursement fees of services and medical devices.

In addition, eight new cardiovascular procedure codes were introduced. Some of them are listed below as examples:

  • 701064 “Atrial fibrillation ablation with pulmonary vein isolation performed with complex mapping and radiofrequency ablation catheter” (in the presence of symptomatic paroxysmal or persistent atrial fibrillation) with the reimbursement tariff of 2,751 TRY (Annex 2B);
  • 701066 “Ablation of endocardial ventricular tachycardia with radiofrequency ablation catheter with complex mapping in the presence of recurrent ICD shock due to ventricular tachycardia” with the reimbursement tariff of 2,751 TRY (Annex 2B);
  • P701065 “Radiofrequency catheter ablation of left atrial tachycardia with complex mapping” with the reimbursement tariff of 5,641 (Annex 2C);
  • P701067 “Epicardial ventricular tachycardia ablation in addition to endocardial ablation with radiofrequency ablation catheter accompanied by complex mapping in the presence of recurrent ICD shock due to ventricular tachycardia” with the reimbursement tariff of 5,641 TRY (Annex 2C).
