The French National Authority for Health released new recommendations about add-on reimbursement of medical devices from the meetings of the National Commission for Evaluation of Medical Devices and Health Technologies in November 2022. Twenty recommendations were published in relation to the registration, modification of registration conditions, and renewal of registration for devices in the List of reimbursable products and services. Opinions concern cardiovascular, neurovascular and neuromodulation, endocrine, ENT, endoscopic and dermatological devices, as well as devices for men’s health and medical aids. Read more

More than 15 recommendations were published in relation to the registration, modification of registration conditions, renewal of registration of devices in the List of reimbursable products and services (LPPR). The Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) has presented its second final report on the benefit assessment of vacuum therapy in wounds healing. The previous final report for vacuum therapy in the wounds healing by secondary intention was published by IQWiG in late March 2019. Read more

German IQWiG assessed vacuum therapy and published the report in late March 2019. Evaluation found statistically significant impact of therapy on wound healing, rate of reinterventions and length of hospital stay. Read more

INAMI/RIZIV launched a call for projects via the application of negative pressure wound therapy in home nursing until August 31, 2018. Funding for a project depends on the number of treatment periods started, with a maximum of €1,000 per patient. Read more
