MTRC released a seminar on reimbursement system for medical technologies in Estonia

Estonia is a well-developed country in the Baltic region.

From the market access perspective, it has a relatively complex structure, including a combination of diagnosis-related groups and fee for service model for reimbursement of hospital services. Estonia shares the DRG system (NordDRG) with other Nordic countries but makes its own decisions in relation to coverage of news services in the so-called List of Services. The country has also an emerging health technology assessment framework, which is used to support reimbursement decision-making.

We offer a seminar on critical elements of the hospital and out-patient reimbursement system for medical devices in Estonia that can guide your decision-making about the introduction of novel technologies into this market.

The seminar discusses key stakeholders, money flow, reimbursement in hospital and ambulatory settings, role of DRG and fee for service model, specifics of reimbursement processes and the role of HTA.
