On December 19, 2022, the Dutch Healthcare Institute (ZIN) published the updated list of medical procedures reimbursed under basic health insurance with restrictions or limitations. The procedures have the so-called "claim" codes (aanspraakcodes). The Dutch Healthcare Authority assigns the "claim" codes based on positions published by the ZIN.
Some examples of the newly introduced procedures are listed below:
- Procedure code 039486 “Hysterosalpingo-foam sonography” for investigation of the accessibility and patency of the fallopian tubes with a foam solution (foam) and ultrasound (HyFoSy) was included in the list with "claim" code 2605 "Fertility treatments";
- Procedure code 033985 “Plastic correction of breast deformity, exclusively using Autologous Fat Transplantation, excluding primary or secondary reconstruction” with "claim" code 2704 " Plastic surgery treatments";
- Procedure code 033993 “Dermatography (tattoo for areola reconstruction, scar correction, skin color abnormalities), excluding primary or secondary reconstruction” with "claim" code 2704 "Plastic surgery treatments";
