First publication and stakeholder survey within the EDiHTA framework

The European Digital Health Technology Assessment (EDiHTA) framework is a 4‑year Horizon Europe project creating Europe’s first flexible, inclusive, validated HTA framework for assessing digital health technologies (telemedicine, health apps, AI) across national, regional and local levels and from multiple perspectives (payer, society, hospital).

On October 6, 2025, the EDiHTA framework announced the publication of its first scientific paper on stakeholder perspectives in digital health assessment. The paper captures key barriers and enablers faced by digital health developers across Europe and offers priorities for a more coherent, harmonized approach to HTA. These insights directly inform EDiHTA’s work to design a flexible, validated HTA framework and the forthcoming EDiHTA toolkit for developers.

Also, since October 6, 2025, the EDiHTA framework invites digital health innovators to complete a short survey to inform development of the EDiHTA toolkit — a practical HTA guide for demonstrating the value, safety, and impact of digital health technologies across European health systems. Contributions will help co‑create a validated, flexible HTA framework to support evidence‑based adoption of digital health innovations.
