EUnetHTA project plan for the assessment of 3D printed implants has been released
This project is authored by the Danish Social & Health Services and Labour Market (DEFACTUM). The co-author is the Basque Office for Health Technology Assessment (OSTEBA), with four other HTA agencies from all over Europe (Belgium, Croatia, Hungary and Austria) being dedicated reviewers.
The HTA Core Model Application for Rapid Relative Effectiveness Assessments (REA, v 4.2) will be followed for the selection of assessment elements. Manufacturers will also be asked to provide non-confidential evidence with a focus on the technical characteristics and current use of the technology.
This rapid assessment is planned to be published on April 19, 2019.
The full project plan can be seen in English here.
EUnetHTA also published the external expert and manufacturer comments, which could be found in English here.
