€130 million allocated to launch of the Personalized Digital Care Plan in Spain
On October 20, 2023, the Spanish Ministry of Health announced that a budget of 130 million euros was allocated to support the upcoming launch of the Personalized Digital Care Plan. The plan, in collaboration with the autonomous communities, will allow the launch of UNICAS Network (network of personalized services for pediatric rare disease patients and their families) for the provision of personalized services to patients with rare pediatric diseases. The data usage that helps expand knowledge, reinforce prevention, improve diagnosis, expand treatments, and offer a better quality of life to patients and families will be promoted.
