Danish National Board of Health has published four updated pathways for gynecological cancers

A package process is a standard patient program that describes the organization and health-related content, communication with patient and relatives, and indicates clear responsibilities. The purpose of the package for the cancer area is that patients must experience a well-planned, holistic, academic course without unnecessary waiting time in connection with the investigation, initial treatment, and after-care, rehabilitation, and palliation, with the aim of improving the prognosis and quality of life for the patients.

The National Board of Health has published four updated packages in March 2019 that describe the management of patients with gynecological cancers, including:

• Package for ovarian cancer
• Package for uterine cancer
• Package for cervical cancer
• Package for outer female genital tract cancer

The package process is expected to be implemented by July 1, 2019.
