The application deadline for the 2024/25 High Cost Device List is now defined in England

In November 2022, NHS England defined a deadline for applications to the High Cost Device List (HCDL) changes to be implemented in the 2024/25 National Tariff Payment System.

Some High Cost devices (and drugs) are excluded from the calculation of prices under the National Tariff Payment System. These items are then either included in a fixed payment or paid in addition to the price of the related service. In 2022/23, all HCDL items were paid as add-on reimbursement.

To nominate a device to be added or removed from the 2024/25 HCDL, the application form should be completed and submitted to pricing@england.nhs.uk by May 31, 2023.
