Adaptation for Digital Health Technology Assessment Framework in Spain
On November 13, 2023, the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS) released a user guide on the health technology assessment framework: adaptation for digital health technology (DHT) assessment. This methodological framework describes 13 domains, 41 dimensions, 9 subdimensions, and 21 levels of evidence that should be considered in the evaluation of DHT. It aims to facilitate the evaluation process of DHT and, consequently, the identification of the value of a particular digital technology to inform decision-making. The guidelines described can be equally useful for HTA agencies, researchers, and developers of DHT, decision-makers, and regulators.
